Queries
The Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War, in its statute activity, makes its collections available on-site to researchers and conducts queries consisting in searching for information, documents or museum items relating to the POW subject matter, including the vicissitudes of POWs.
In order to obtain the certification of stay in captivity or commission the Museum to carry out a query, it is indispensable to send in the relevant application:
- via e-mail to the address:
- by traditional post to the address: Centralne Muzeum Jeńców Wojennych w Łambinowicach-Opolu, ul. Minorytów 3, 45-017 Opole.
The application should include the following information:
- personal data and address of the applicant;
- indication of the subject of the case it concerns;
- at least some basic personal data concerning the person searched for (first name, family name, date and place of birth).
The application which, despite a request to complete the data, is not complemented accordingly, will remain unanswered (legal foundation: Art. 63 2, Art. 64 2 of the Code of administrative proceeding, consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2000 No. 98, item 1071 as amended).
