Exhibition Forgotten victims of Nazis euthanasia – the murder of patients of Silesian medical facilities in 1940-1945
The exhibition depicts the little known history of pseudomedical practices conducted by the Nazis in 1939-1945 on patients of Silesian medical facilities. The curators of the exhibition document the practices of methodical extermination of the mentally ill and mentally disabled people, which were already in use in the first months of the Second World War. They emphasize the fact that the practice of conducting euthanasia against a selected population of the conquered areas was the beginning of a mass practice soon implemented in gas chambers of concentration camps.
The exhibition consists of 20 illustrated boards with texts in German and Polish.
