Opening of a new temporary exhibition in Opole

The upcoming Culture Night is an excellent opportunity to present a new museum exhibition to the Opole public. Therefore, taking advantage of the unique atmosphere of this evening, on 28 June at 5 p.m. we are organising the opening of the exhibition "Lamsdorf/Lambinowice. Archaeology at the Site of Remembrance".

The official opening will take place in the courtyard of the Museum at 3 Minorytów Street. The trio of the exhibition's authors: Dr. Dawid Kobiałka, Dr. Kamil Karski and Professor Michał Pawleta, will be represented by the latter. For that reason we can expect both an interesting and content-related introduction to the subject of the exhibit.

The exhibition consists of colourful, richly illustrated boards standing in front of the Museum building, presenting the results of the two-year "Science for Society, Society for Science at the Site of National Remembrance" research project, as well as interesting artefacts discovered in the course of the archaeological works, which are safely placed in the temporary exhibition hall. The effect is enhanced by thoughtful photographs of the Site of Remembrance taken by Sławoj Dubiel and a documentary film about to the project directed by Daniel Frymark.

The opening will also be accompanied by a sensory workshop for children entitled "What Happened Here?!" (booking required), which will introduce them to the mysteries of archaeology and a challenge with prizes aimed at all attendees of the Night of Culture: The Sensory Challenge "Touch the Past".

Visit us on Friday at 5 p.m.!
