Museum’s jubilee with a graphic mark
The year 2025 marks the 60th anniversary of the Museum's establishment. We will be celebrating this anniversary - following the example of our 50th anniversary - throughout the whole year. This means that each of the significant events that our institution is organising this year will provide an opportunity to remind us of its 60th anniversary.
Such a planned jubilee prompted us to design an appropriate graphic mark that would clearly communicate the anniversary context. The logo proposed by Studio Widok, a Krakow-based design studio, contains the most essential elements: it highlights the number 60, defines the timeline of the Museum’s history from 1965 to 2025, and, with its lettering and visible horizontal lines, refers to the visual identity of the Museum and, which is particularly important, to its iconic Monument to the Martyrdom of Prisoners-of-War.
The forthcoming event bearing the anniversary logo is the focal point in the Museum's calendar: The 80th anniversary of the liberation of Stalag 344 Lamsdorf. With only a little over two weeks left to the upcoming 17 March, the communication apogee lies ahead of us. Undoubtedly, the opportunity to use a memorable logo will accentuate this exceptional year for the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War.
