"Łambinowice Museum Meetings"are back. Meeting with Jerzy Okrzesa

At the start of September we come back with the "Łambinowice Museum Meetings" series. The first installment will be dedicated to the European Heritage Days’ theme of "Routes, Networks and Connections".

As early as 4 September at 5 p.m., at the Łambinowice’s Museum seat, a meeting will be held with Jerzy Okrzesa, a family history enthusiast and the author of the book entitled Uncle Michael's American Dream. How to Start Your Family History Search? The event will provide a unique opportunity to find out - like the guest of the September meeting - how to get started to trace your own ancestry, search archives, look for clues provided in photographs or hidden in other family documents.

The meeting with Jerzy Okrzesa fits perfectly with the theme of this year's European Heritage Days - "Routes, Networks and Connections", which, although directly referring to the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe, promoting the link between culture and tourism, at the same time links the past with the present, and the fate of our ancestors with our own.

You are invited to the meeting by Dr. Iwona Konopnicka, President of the Association of Friends of the CMJW, and Dr. Violetta Rezler-Wasielewska, Director of the Central Museum of Prisoners-of-War.

The event enjoys the honorary patronage of Tomasz Karpiński, Mayor of the Łambinowice Commune.
