Guidebook to 'Lamsdorf/Łambinowice. Archaeology at the Site of Remembrance'

The opening of the exhibition 'Lamsdorf/Łambinowice. Archaeology at the Site of Remembrance' has already taken place. The exhibition is presented in the Museum in Łambinowice, and from 28 June this year it will be possible to be viewed in Opole, at 3 Minorytów St. It is accompanied by a guidebook under the same title.

This publication is not only eye-catching and full of illustrations, but also a popular scientific sum-up of the research project on which the exhibition is based. In the course of the two-year period (2022-2024) of various activities carried out as part of the project 'Science for Society, Society for Science at the Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice', happened a lot, hence the guidebook has a large size (60 pages). Nevertheless, the easy-to-understand language and the above-mentioned rich graphic layout make the reading comprehensible and truly compelling.

The authors of the guide: Dr. Dawid Kobiałka, Michał Pawleta, Associate Professor of the UAM, and Dr. Kamil Karski present a step-by-step explanation of the archaeological, historical and ethnographic research carried out at the Site of National Remembrance in Łambinowice. They share their discoveries with us - show photographs of the finds and discuss what they have been able to discover or pinpoint in relation to historical research to date. The introduction to the guidebook is written by the director of the Museum, Dr. Violetta Rezler-Wasielewska, while the graphic design is the result of the work of Marek Krajewski.
